The short version

Sandwich is a macOS app. Your original files stay on your Mac. Sandwich has no account system, tracking, or analytics. This website is static and sets no cookies.

Online processing

Audio is always uploaded so Sandwich can build the transcript and suggest the first cut. Your video file is never uploaded.

Preview, editing, caption rendering, and export happen on your Mac. The “Behind Subject” caption effect also runs on-device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app phones home to no server of ours. We learn about you only if you email us or purchase a license, in which case the payment processor shares the details needed to fulfil the order (name, email, receipt).

Purchases

Checkout and payment are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. We never see or store card details. Purchase records are kept for licensing and tax compliance.
